Business Studies
The Appleton School offers a range of different business experiences available for students in Year 9 to Year 13; lessons in Starting Business Education in Key Stage 3; GCSE Business, OCR Enterprise & Marketing at Key Stage 4 and at Key Stage 5, students may decide to stay on into the Sixth Form and study BTEC Advanced Diploma in Business (3 A-Level equivalent), or A-Level Business.
GCSE, OCR, and A-Level courses are available as options, whilst Year 9 students will have lessons in Starting Business Education.
Students will learn about how businesses are developed and discover how businesses promote themselves and keep their customers happy. Students learn how businesses manage both their finances and the people who work for them. Business at Appleton is all about reality and so learning resources are based on "real" organisations and applying theory within those situations.
