Student Leadership Roles

At the Appleton School, we are proud of our Student Leadership Team, who undertake various leadership role within our Appleton community. The Student Leadership Team are passionate about making difference to our school community. As part of the Appleton family, the members of the Student Leadership Team develop and acquire range of leadership skills which includes: taking initiatives, leading by examples, be accountable, radiating positive energy, having proactive attitude and many more.

Through their leadership roles, our students can grow and develop confident to stand out from their peers with pride when they leave our school. We want to give all students an opportunity to recognise the positive impact that identifying and developing their leadership, interpersonal and soft skills can have; especially when it comes to applying this to the real world that they will encounter when they leave Appleton.

We are very proud of the students who undertake a Student Leadership role. There are 29 different roles that pupils can apply for, and over 400 positions available through the roles across the whole school. To support students in this identification and development, each leadership role has a job description, an application process, and students will receive a salary for carrying out their role as they would in the real world (see individual job descriptions). Student salaries are paid half termly should they fulfil their duties. All students will receive a badge for their role which we expect them to wear on their blazer with pride.
